SparkLab & LaunchLab Youth Entrepreneurship with a Sports Mindset

Where kids and teens learn to think like entrepreneurs, manage money with confidence, and train their mindset like athletes.

WHAT IS SparkLab?

(AGES 8-11)

SparkLab is a playful, hands-on entrepreneurship program where kids turn their ideas into mini-businesses while learning the basics of money, leadership, and resilience.
Each week, kids “train” like athletes: warm‑up games, idea drills, and teamwork challenges that build creativity, confidence, and collaboration.

  • STEM-Powered ideas: Kids explore simple, real-workd problems and design fun products or services to solve them.

  • Money made simple: Kids learn saving, spending, sharing and earning through games and mini market days.”

  • Mindset & resilience: Activities that teach bouncing back from mistakes, trying again and celebrating effort.

  • Team spirit: Group Challenges that build communication, kindness and confidence

WHAT IS LaunchLab?

(AGES 12-16)

  • From idea to launch: Teens choose a problem, design a solution and build a simple business model

  • Real money skills: Budgeting, pricing, profit and smart money habits tied to real-life scenarios

  • Athlete mindset training: Goal-setting, routines, dealing with pressure and staying focused under stress

  • Leadership & community: Working in teams, giving and receiving feedback and contributing to something bigger than themselves

LaunchLab is a high‑energy lab for teens ready to turn ideas into real ventures, using a sports‑style approach to planning, practice, and performance.
Teens move from “first spark” to “full launch,” learning how to test ideas, talk to customers, manage money, and pitch like pros

In both SparkLab and LaunchLab, entrepreneurship is treated like a sport: kids and teens show up, train, and grow over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Both programs are designed to help participants discover and shape ideas, even if they start with “no idea at all.”

  • Sports are used as a mindset and learning metaphor (practice, teamwork, resilience), but activities are inclusive and accessible whether a child is sporty, artistic, techy, or anything in between.

  • They will learn how to spot opportunities, brainstorm and test ideas, and understand simple money concepts like earning, saving, spending, and giving. They also build skills in mindset, confidence, resilience, teamwork, communication, leadership, and creating helpful routines and habits.

  • The programs are built to be flexible, using a mix of movement, small‑group work, and individual reflection so different learners can participate comfortably.
The focus is on progress, not perfection, and on helping each child find their own way to contribute and feel successful.

  • SparkLab is playful and exploratory, helping younger kids “spark” ideas, understand basic money skills, and try mini‑projects in a supportive environment.
LaunchLab goes deeper into planning, money decisions, simple business models, and pitching, so teens move closer to a realistic “launch” of their idea.

  • The 8‑week “season” runs 1 hour per week, with small at‑home reflection or mini‑challenges to reinforce learning.

  • Each group works toward a simple end‑of‑program showcase where kids and teens can share their idea, mini‑business, or key learning with peers and family.

  • The program is led by a Certified KidPreneur Educator, Certified Real World Money Lessons Instructor, STEM educator, Accredited Coach, and qualified elementary teacher.
This background blends child‑centred teaching with real‑world experience in innovation, technology, and coaching.
